From February 24 to 26 this year, the International Roerich Memorial Trust hosted an International Exhibition on Cultural Exchange programme organized by Society for Prabal Pramanik's Academy of Arts, Bhamlada, Punjab under the leadership of Mr. Arup Chandra, President of the Society.

Mr. Arup Chandra said that every year a group of new artists from different countries participate in exhibitions at the IRMT, introducing the visitors of the Roerich Estate to the artistic culture of their countries.

This time about 25 famous artists from Sri Lanka, Nepal, Mauritius, Bangladesh, Spain and India presented their art. The exhibition was opened by Professor Carol Fraser, an artist from England; Dmitry Surgin, Assistant Russian Curator of the IRMT, an employee of the ICR (Moscow), and Suresh Kumar, Indian Curator of the IRMT.

For several days, guests of the International Roerich Memorial Trust had the opportunity not only to see the artists' art, but also to participate in their creative process.

The artists expressed their gratitude to the management of the Roerich Trust for the possibility to present their works and get inspiration in such a beautiful place in the Himalayas - in the Kullu Valley, Naggar, which is closely connected with the name of the great artist Nicholas Roerich, whose 150th birth anniversary is celebrated this year.
