On June 26, 2022 the solemn inauguration of painting and sculpture exhibition by modern Indian artists of the “Studio Seven” took place in the International Roerich Memorial Trust. The Chief Guest of the festival was Ms Oshin Sharma, Assistant Commissioner cum Block Development officer, Naggar, Kullu (HP). By tradition the ribbon was cut in front of the entrance of the IRMT Exhibition Hall, everybody entered – and were amazed by the cascade of bright colours and intricate plots filling the hall space.

Except for the paintings, in the exhibition the sculptures by the artist Suresh Kumar were presented as well. Little figures of people, bulls and abstract forms made from metal interested the audience by internal expression and philosophic point conveyed by the author.

Ms. Oshin Sharma, the Chief Guest of the exhibition along with Mr. Pardeep Thakur, Naggar Panchayat President, respected guests from Naggar, the Indian and Russian IRMT Curators Mr. Suresh Kumar and Mrs. Larisa Surgina lit a traditional lamp, thanked the artists for the bright, expressive and interesting exhibition and wished them success and new meetings in the Himalayan Roerichs estate.

This time seven artists presented their paintings for viewers’ verdict: Suresh Kumar (also the exhibition curator), Ishwar Dayal, Shuchi Kalra Bhudhiraja, Alphee Kumar, Prasanth A.V., Pratibha Awasthi, Sushma Yadav. Unfortunately, not all of them could be personally present on the exhibition opening. The guests listened to the artists’ explanations of the abstract themes with great interest, along with the authors they tried to explain the symbols significance and their role in the understanding of the meaning of the paintings and they enjoyed unusual colour combinations. At the exhibition, besides abstract paintings, one could see divine images of Krishna and Lakshmi, subjects devoted to women's energy and yoga, and picturesque landscapes radiating joy.
