Exhibition of landscapes by photographer Jyoti Patil in the Himalayan Roerich Estate
6-8 November 2021 an exhibition of a young Indian photographer Jyoti Patil took place in the Exhibition Hall of the International Roerich Memorial Trust. Indian Curator IRMT Ramesh Chander and Assistant of Russian Curator IRMT inaugurated the exhibition. The exhibited photographs of landscapes from different countries — Norway, Mongolia, Indian Himalayas — excited heartfelt admiration among the guests of the exhibition.
Jyoti is travelling with photo camera all over the world: over the last year she has visited 9 countries at 3 continents.
Solo travelling allows her to choose non-touristic routs and discover this beautiful world wandering freely time and space. She has been avid nature lover since her childhood. She takes pride in admiring intimate landscapes. She finds joy in capturing those little intriguing moments in nature we seldom recognize.
The photographer’s work is admiration by ripple in water, wind blowing the tree leaves, autumn making its first appearance, colored spindrift, outline of mountains bathed in golden hue at sunset.
Jyoti Patil was born in a small village in northern Maharashtra, a centrally located state in India. She started to take photos 12 years ago and since then she has constantly studied new photography techniques attending professional workshops.
The Russian-Indian IRMT team would like to thank Jyoti Patil for the wonderful exhibition and wishes the young photographer every success!
Currently Jyoti is travelling in India. Being in Naggar she visited Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery and was, in accordance with her words, impressed by the creative works of the great Russian artist. Jyoti was happy to accept the invitation to open her exhibition in the IRMT and share her impressions as a traveller-photographer with the Roerichs Estate’s visitors.
