At the end of December, the International Roerich Memorial Trust hosted an exhibition of paintings by four well-known Indian artists, organized by Artistix Art Studio. Paintings were presented by three artists from Punjab: Manpreet Kaur (curator of the exhibition), Naveen Kumar, and Manpreet Sandhu, as well as an artist from New Delhi, Roopali Sharma. The Chief Guest of the event, senior lawyer and renowned journalist Chhavindra Singh Thakur officially opened the exhibition by cutting the ribbon together with Russian curator Larisa Surgina and Indian curator Suresh Kumar.

This is not the first time Manpreet Kaur has presented her work at the Roerich Estate, each time showcasing her new paintings, which invariably attract attention with their bright, pure colors and interesting subjects. This time, in addition to landscapes, the exhibition featured portraits, as well as the magnificent Golden Temple, the jewel of the Punjabi city of Amritsar.

Naveen Kumar from Hoshiarpur, whose watercolors have long been loved by many visitors to the IRMT, remained faithful to the mountain landscapes of the Himalayas. However, in addition to picturesque landscapes, he also presented his works on philosophical and religious themes, executed in watercolors, oils, and acrylics.

The paintings of Manpreet Sandhu from Ludhiana are dedicated to nature, its inspiring beauty and diversity. At the exhibition, visitors could admire flowers, beautiful dragonflies and bright birds. Manpreet mainly uses acrylic paints in her work, which help her achieve the necessary colourful effects.

Rupali Sharma's work is dedicated to the revival of ancient Indian artistic traditions that had long been forgotten. At the exhibition, the artist presented paintings in the style of the ancient Lippan art of Gujarat, known for its relief molding made of clay and mirrors. The audience was also attracted by the mirror mosaics of the Mughal era, works of textural art, and other works that skillfully combined ancient traditions with elements of contemporary art.

In total, more than sixty works of art were presented at the exhibition. The Chief Guest Mr. Thakur noted in his speech the outstanding talent of all the artists participating in the exhibition. He emphasized that each artist conveys a unique message to society through their work, making a significant contribution to the development of culture and art.

The exhibition was attended by Dmitry Surgin, assistant to the Russian Curator of the Roerich Trust, Amarjeet Anand, Deepak Sood, Shubham Chauhan, Jitendra Singh, Dhani Ram, Kamlesh Singh, Narendra Bali, Sunil Rana, Megh Singh, and other distinguished guests. Indian curator Suresh Kumar and Russian curator Larisa Surgina expressed their gratitude to the artists for their cooperation and thanked all art lovers for their participation in this significant cultural event.
