"Expression-2024" in the International Roerich Memorial Trust

From February 27 to 29, another international exhibition was held at the IRMT, bringing together in its exhibition the works of artists from different countries. This time the participants were about twenty-four famous artists from India, Malaysia, Thailand, Greece, Spain and Italy, who presented more than 65 of their paintings and reproductions. The main organizer of the exhibition was the artist Prabhinder Lall, head of the creative association "ARTFORT" (Chandigarh, India), a dear friend of the International Roerich Memorial Trust. Such art organizations as "Verman Cultural Celebration" (Jammu, India), "ASWARA" (Malaysia) and others took part in the exhibition.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Suresh Kumar, Indian curator of IRMT, and Larisa Surgina, Russian curator. They noted that the exhibition pleases with the variety of styles, themes and colors; it presents abstract paintings, landscapes and domestic scenes. Some of the works carry a message of beauty, others raise acute social problems - but all of them are permeated by the artists' call for mutual understanding, for careful attitude to the planet and to each other.

And although the artists themselves could not take part in the grand opening of the exhibition and entrusted Mr. Prabhinder Lall to speak about their paintings, their presence was felt in the Roerich Estate that day. Truly, as Nicholas Roerich said, art is one and indivisible, it is called to unite mankind.
