Information for Booking an Exhibition in International Roerich Memorial Trust
Agreement between the IRMT and the Artist
The IRMT is giving permission to the Artist concerned (Indian or foreign) to exhibit and also sale his/her art works (paintings, photographs, crafts, etc.) provided the Artist agrees to the following terms and conditions set by the IRMT:
1. IRMT will allow the Artist concerned to exhibit and sell his/her art works in the IRMT premises for the period of up to three weeks. (The period can be extended or shortened based on the further agreement between the IRMT and the Artist).
2. For the period of the exhibition, the IRMT Modern Art Exhibition Hall will be provided to the Artist for the nominal charge given below:
Exhibition Hall charges (per day): March to June & October
Single Artist: Rs.2000/-
Group of Artists: Rs.4000/-
Exhibition Hall charges (per day): July to Sept. & Nov.to Feb.
Single Artist: Rs.1000/-
Group of Artists: Rs.2000/-
3. The Artist will donate one of his/her art objects to the IRMT as a token of gratitude for the opportunity to hold his/her exhibition-cum-sale. Along with it he will grant exclusive rights to the IRMT to reproduce, distribute, sell and display the said art object.
4. For exhibiting the art objects in the IRMT premises, the Artist concerned has to transport his/her art objects by himself/herself. The IRMT will not extend him/her any financial assistance for transporting art objects to and from the IRMT.
5. IRMT will not reimburse travelling expenses to the Artist concerned. It is expected that the Artist will pay for his/her travel to and from Naggar.
6. IRMT is in no way liable for any damage caused to the art works during the transit or at the time of the exhibition.
7. It is expected that during the period of the exhibition-cum-sale, the Artist concerned will be present at the venue of his/her exhibition. The IRMT is not liable for any kind of damage caused to any of his/her art objects during the period of exhibition-cum-sale.
8. The Artist concerned will himself/herself fix the price of the exhibited art objects, and after the sale of any of his/her art object(s), full amount will go to the Artist. IRMT will not take any share of the proceeds.
9. If desiring so, the Artist concerned may be provided accommodation at the IRMT Guest Room for the period of his/her exhibition. The Artist will pay the nominal price for one day of Rs.500/- two bed only and Rs.1,000/- four bed only.
10. Amount of Rs.2,000/- will be deposited by the Artist as a guarantee deposit to the IRMT at the time of signing this "Agreement" as a guarantee for holding the exhibition at specified date once the exhibition hall is booked for him/her. This amount will be refunded to the Artist on completion of his/her exhibition. In case the Artist fails to hold his/her exhibition in spite of signing the agreement without prior notice within 2 weeks before his/her exhibition, the money deposited will not be returnable to the Artist.
