23.10.2014 The 110th Birth Anniversary of Svetoslav Roerich at the IRMT

At the Himalayan Roerich Estate in Naggar there was celebrated the 110th Birth Anniversary of Svetoslav Roerich, the younger son of Nicholas and Helena Roerich. The Indians and Russians united in honoring the artistic and human genius of Svetoslav Roerich gathered around the sacred fire burnt in memory of this prominent artist repeating after a pujari-priest the wonderful words of Shanti-puja – a prayer for peace and good, a prayer of blessing. “Indeed, only peace leads to happiness, gives hope for success and well-being. May this wonderful blessing guide all our doings, all our creative activities and our hopes,” Svetoslav Roerich wrote.

16.10.2014 Kalachakra Mandala to be Constructed in Moscow

Between 25.10-02.11.2014 the sand Kalachakra Mandala will be constructed in the Museum Named after Nicholas Roerich within the framework of the festival “The Wheel of Time. Days of Tibetan Culture in Russia.” On 27.10-31.10.2014 Mahapandita Nangyal Ati Cherab Nyima Rinpoche will conduct a seminar “The Astrology of Primal Elements.”

10.10.2014 The research seminar and the exhibition of Elina Abakarova

Nicholas Roerich’s jubilee celebration at the International Roerich Memorial Trust on 10 October 2014 started with opening the exhibition of paintings “The Himalaya and a magical world of heavenly dancers” by a Ukrainian painter and Indian classical dance performer Elina Abakarova.

14.10.2014 Works of the Winners of the Children’s Drawing Competition Exhibited in IRMT

Within the framework of the celebration of the anniversaries of Nicholas, Svetoslav and Helena Roerichs in the International Roerich Memorial Trust the exhibition of the works by the winners of the international children’s drawing competition organized under the motto “From the Rhythms of Time towards the Treasures of the Universe” has been inaugurated. The competition is organized on the regular basis by the interregional non-governmental organization Assembly of the Continental Cultures’ Achievements “Heritage” headed by Mrs. N. Pivovarova.

Nicholas Roerich’s Birth Anniversary on 9 October 2014 at the International Roerich Memorial Trust traditionally started with Shanti Puja – a prayer for forgiveness and welfare – hold at the site of Nicholas Roerich cremation (Samadhi) nearby the commemorative Stone from where there opens a view of the majestic white-capped peaks of the twin Gepang – the Mount “M” as the Roerichs would call it. Admirers of Roerich’s creative work from different countries gathered around the sacred fire to honor in their high thoughts the memory of the eminent Russian sage and Maharishi Nicholas Roerich.

15.09.2014 Exhibition “The Roerich Pact. History and Modernity” in Chandigarh

The large-scale exhibition project “The Roerich Pact. History and Modernity” organized by the International Centre of the Roerichs and the International Roerichs’ Heritage Preservation Committee goes on travelling around India. In early July the project was launched in Shimla – the capital of the Himachal Pradesh state; then the exhibition dedicated to the Roerich Pact opened at the Himalaya Roerichs’ estate in Naggar; on 9 September it was received in the Indian city of Chandigarh, the capital of the two states – Punjab and Haryana. The organizer of the exhibit in Chandigarh was, as in Shimla, the Lalit Kala Akademi (Academy of Fine Arts), its Punjab center.

16.08.2014 George Roerich’s birthday in the International Roerich Memorial Trust

George Roerich’s birthday in the International Roerich Memorial Trust was celebrated with the inauguration of a photo exhibition “India – along the paths of ancient cultures” by a Ukrainian photographer and researcher Mr. Vitaly Novikov. The photos displayed at the exhibition are the result of the author’s trips along the route of the Central Asian Himalayan expedition of the Roerichs which he undertook with the representatives of the Dnepropetrovsk Association of the Roerichs in 2009-2012.
